This woman from central Ohio had a specific breast shape in mind, which required a teardrop shaped (”anatomical”) implant under the muscle. To give her the bra-size she wanted required 370 ml size each side. Dr Dowden inserted the saline implants through a small incision in each underarm. It is worth noting that if the breasts are wide apart before operation, they will still be wide apart afterwards as shown here, especially with the “anatomical” implants which are narrower than the round ones. This woman came from California to have Dr Dowden perform breast augmentation for her, with saline implants in front of the muscle through the navel (TUBA). She had enlarged greatly with pregnancy, then afterwards lost volume, leaving her breasts deflated-looking. She also was asymmetrical, with the right breast lower and larger than the left. It was possible to even out the volume with 510ml on her right and 570ml on her left, but the nipples cannot be made even. This 44-year old patient from Manhattan Beach, California came to Dr. Pousti wanting to have extra large breasts implants. This 23-year old patient from Murrieta, California wanted to have larger breasts. This patient has a mild case of pectus excavatum this is when the sternum (breastbone) is depressed relative to the rest of the chest wall. After meeting with Dr. Pousti, she went ahead and scheduled surgery.
